CHARLES PRUITT

Charles N. Pruitt is a signature member of The Oil Painters of America and The American Plains Artist. His painting, "Hill Country Crossing", was awarded the Best of Show winner of this year's American Plains Artist Show, a national show juried by Howard Rogers.

Pruitt is devoted to working 'plein air'. He paints on location using close observation of nature and the effects of light. His interpretation of values based on intuition, emotion and over 30 years of experience has led to a style described as spontaneous and honest.

His art work has been shown in the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. Annually he exhibits in the annual C.M. Russell Auction in Great Falls, Montana where he has been a Quick Draw participant several times. His work was juried into "Arts for the Park" the "Allied Artist of America" show and he has demonstrated for several art organizations including the "Associated Creative Artist of Dallas".
