Mr. Freeman began training his artistic talent at the age of eight. Later, he enrolled in The Art Institute of Chicago. After some experience he was soon under the strict guidance of Joseph De Salvi and went on to win three one-year scholarships to study art at Stanford University. Freeman's studies then took him to The American Academy of Art and he began an apprenticeship under Bill Mosby and Haddon Sunbloom. Ken has been a portrait painter and illustrator for over twenty-five years. Included in the career of Freeman is a commissioned portrait of Herbert Hoover and the distinguishing characteristic of being the only three-time official artist of The Scottsdale, Arizona, Parada del Sol Festival.
